The weather will remain dry in the state from today (Tuesday) for the next three days.  With the exception of coastal, northern inland and southern border districts, the state is less likely to receive rains.  The announcement was made today by the Regional Meteorological Center.  According to the Regional Meteorological Center, a clear low pressure zone created in the west-central Bay of Bengal yesterday (Monday) is still in the area.  But it has no special effect on Odisha.  As a result, some districts along the southern border may receive light to moderate rainfall.

Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada and Gajapati districts are likely to receive light to moderate rainfall over the next 24 hours.  The rest of the state is unlikely to receive heavy rainfall.  There is a possibility of light rain in the southern interior of the state for the next two to three days.  However, the monsoon trough line now extends from Bikaner, Jaipur, Sagar, the fort from south to south, along the west-central Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast through the center of the clearly defined low pressure belt.  As a result, the monsoon is weak in the state.  Therefore, the amount of rainfall in the state for the next four days will be less than normal.  The weather will be mostly dry and dry.  The weather in Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Devatnagar will be partly cloudy in the next 24 hours.  There may be light rain in some places.

However, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are expected in one or two places in inland and coastal Odisha on the 16th and 20th.  During this time

Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Anugul, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khordha, Cuttack and Dhenkanal districts are likely to receive showers.
