A public interest litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court over the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Odisha.  Following the hearing, the Chief Justice's bench issued a notice to the state government.  Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today wrote a letter to the state chief minister in this regard, directing him to respond within the next two weeks.  In Odisha, two major public welfare schemes, namely the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ayushman Bharat-Prime Minister Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJJAY), have been launched.

Earlier, representatives of Dharmendra and Odisha had asked the chief minister to implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in the state.  Therefore, Dharmendra has asked the Chief Minister to support the implementation of the scheme in the state and the implementation of the National Digital Health Mission.
