By- SRINIBASH ROUT

 Koraput

How much does the government plan for people living in the suburbs?  But the real picture is different.  The government launched a boat ambulance service to reach the suburbs, but a similar pattern has been seen in Koraput.  Ambulance boat service tied to rope.  It is lying idle on the banks of the river.  On February 27, 2017, the Government of Odisha launched a boat ambulance service to transport patients to remote hospitals at a cost of Rs 5.60 crore.  Authorities said at the time that four boat ambulances, connected by road, would be part of the ‘108’ ambulance service.  Two senior boat ambulances have been allowed for Malkangiri and Kendrapara districts, and one written ambulance has been allowed for Koraput and Kalahandi, a senior official said.  It is true that the government is spending crores of rupees on health care schemes, but the real picture is how far it is working.

Three months ago today, a 108 ambulance boat was brought to Lamtaput Sindiput Ghat, which runs into the Kolab Reservoir, to provide free health care to four panchayats and 40 villages in Kumar Gandhana, Tikar Pada, Umbel and Banamaliput panchayats.  Srinibash rout seems to be lying on the shore lying helplessly tied to the shore.
