The government’s new rules for private hospitals, half of the common beds and 40% of the ICU beds will be reserved for coronary heart disease patients.

 The Orissa government has made some important decisions regarding corona treatment at private hospitals.  Private hospitals with more than 30 beds in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Rourkela will be required to reserve half of their general beds or general beds and 40 per cent of ICU beds for coronary patients.  In addition, the option of converting the entire hospital to Covid Hospital in case of emergency will be open.

 The Odisha government issued a notice on August 28 to provide coronary care in more than 30 private hospitals.  In addition, the government has set a price for private corona treatment at private hospitals.  Rs 2,950 to Rs 750 per day for normal beds, Rs 10,000 to Rs 18,000 for ICUs and Rs 12,000 to Rs 18,000 for ventilators with ICUs.  The rate applies to private hospitals with more than 30 beds.
